from Milwaukee
What was most helpful to you today?
- Enjoyed the entire day
- Everything
- Vocal Technique & Worship Team Dynamics
- Worship 101 & Worship Team Dynamics
- Worship 101 - helps to reinforce the
truths, Worship team run-through and thanks
for letting
me run sound - that was great experience
for me
- Worship 101 - relating the worship to
the people rather than at them as a forced
experience.
(How to make
- Contemporary worship a "want to" experience)
- Reinforcement of things I have talked
about in the past. Voice technique very
helpful
- Role of the Worship Team (Worship 101)
- Meeting people, witnessing the differences
between us and that anything may be accomplished
through
- Love
- What possibilities exist in usage of
music in our new worship service in the
future.
Also, how to coordinate the interaction
of the worship team dynamics (almost everyone
on our team will be new to this)
- We are starting a contemp. Svc. Got me
thinking about all the specifics
- Diversity of team players demonstrated.
Emphasis on worship members being individually
prepared!
- How to do rehearsal
- Watching the whole band work together
to see each instrument work. Also the singing
lesson was helpful
- I was blessed to yield to the Holy Spirit
and learned how to worship in Spirit
and in Truth
- I learned how to start a Praise & Worship
Team. We are just beginning this ministry
at our church
- The practical hands-on approach by Sean
- not just lecture.
- How to get a praise group organized
- Instruction for leadership - exaggerate
and easy to follow - forget about boxes!
- The history of worship in the Lutheran
church; The goal is not hands raised up
but lives
laid down
- The "How to's" of leading worship
If we were to have a similar workshop in
the future, what topics would you like to
see addressed?
- Maybe address different types of music
- More Group Work
- This was all great and needs to be repeated
for the basis and basics of worship.
I felt it was a great seminar
- For churches that do only "158" and
are seeing the need to break out, but
simply don't know where to
- Begin.
- Vocal arranging - harmonies for praise
teams
- Using the organ in contemporary worship
so as not to leave the organist out (assuming
he wants in)
- Excellent
- More singing and learnig usable songs
with less talk. Particularly enjoyed mellow
song "Come"
- Some additional song selections of newer,
more popular songs
- More stuff for beginners: How to begin,
meeting, how many people to organize,
advertising to the community. Purpose of
contemp. Vs.
traditional. Why do you change and why
might you choose not to.
- Services of material and actual participation
of group.
- Maybe some break-out sessions on each
person's instrument to be able to ask specific
questions
about their own skills.
- What to do with Youth Worship
- Everyone is not electrified yet. Could
we do a portion of the worship "Unplugged"?
- No suggestions since we are just at the
organization stage
- More about worship - why we raise our
hands, etc.
How was the length of the workshop?
- Okay
- Just about right
- Fine
- Yes, although a year would have been
better
- Excellent, because each presentation
was superbly well-planned and presented
- Fine; Good; Okay; Fine; OK; Good; 3 hours
in afternoon is too long without a break
- Somewhat long; Perfect; Good; Good; Great!;
OK; Good
Is one full day long enough?
- Friday evening praise, then shorter Saturday
- Yes; Yes; Yes, but I needed an afternoon
lemonade break
- Yes; Yes; Yes; Yes; Yes; Yes; Yes; Yes;
Yes; Yes; Yes; Yes; Yes
- Maybe not
Would you prefer there to be something on
Friday evening in addition to Saturday?
- Yes; Maybe; No;
- All on one day is good, as it suits some
peoples schedules. A Friday evening/
all day Sat. workshop is also
- great
- Possibly; No; No. One day all day is
fine.; No; No
- Fridays are so hectic - something with
a simple introduction but repeated on Saturday
for those who were unable to make it.
- No; No; Yes; Worship time on Friday night
would be great.
- The one day is good for my group to come.
The extra evening would have been good
to be able to soak it all in.
Additional Comments
- Thank You! I learned lots!
- Very good learning environment. Informal,
humorous, matter-of-fact, yet very spiritual
- God Bless!
- You made some mention to the cool thing
you did in prayer & worship prior.
Why weren't we there?
- (Show and demonstrate)
- Overhead was too low to see (especially
when we stood). Afternoon break would
be great!
- It was great!
- Words should fit on screen
- Thank you Sean for your wonderful teaching.
Praise God for your gift of music. J
- Thank you. I was so blessed to be here.
- This workshop was excellent. Since we
